Papa & Barkley is committed to a whole-plant infusion process for all our products. Our process starts with all-natural, sun-grown cannabis plants grown by U.S. farmers. The whole plant is soaked in our base oils to get the full spectrum of the plant’s biology; we do this without chemicals or solvents because we want to make the cleanest and healthiest products possible. Our formulations are all-natural, completely solventless, and chemical-free. Our techniques are gentle and maintain all of the original terpenes, cannabinoids and phytonutrients present in the cannabis plant.

Whole Plant Infusion Process
Our main method of extraction is our proprietary lipid infusion technique, which is used in developing all our topical and tincture products. This is an all-natural and solventless process, meaning chemicals are never introduced. In this process, we soak our premium cannabis plants in coconut oil or MCT oil, then add heat and pressure. During this cooking process, the cannabinoids are infused into the base. What makes this process so special is that all of the original terpenes, cannabinoids, and phytonutrients are preserved. The resulting oils are blended to achieve different ratios. While this process is more difficult, we believe it’s worth the extra effort because it results in better quality, more potent, cleaner and efficacious end products for people like you and I.
Whole Plant Fresh-Pressed Rosin
Our rosin process involves pressing cannabis between two heated metal plates to produce an all-natural extract; this concentrated oil has a similar consistency to tree sap. The resulting extract is typically very potent (over 60% cannabinoids) and, again, we maintain the plant’s full cannabinoid and terpene profile. All our products are earthy in color because the chlorophyll and valuable phytonutrients and natural plant matter still exists when the process is complete.
We make our rosin just like your favorite juicery makes fresh-pressed juice. We press cannabis trichomes between two heated metal plates, which produces a concentrated oil similar to tree sap. Just heat + pressure + love. No chemicals ever.
We Triple-Test Throughout the Process
We hold ourselves to a higher standard because of our commitment and focus first and foremost on quality and efficacy. Papa & Barkley uses its own triple-testing system, which is more rigorous than the required testing procedure, to test for 66 pesticides, 5 microbials, and 10 residual solvents. They are tested at each stage of the production process; we test the plants, base-infused oil, and finished goods. Plant input is tested for cannabinoid and terpene content, pesticides, and heavy metals. Infused oil is tested a second time for quality assurance on cannabinoid and terpene profile. Blended finished goods are tested for a third time, ensuring final consistency of cannabinoid content.
Thus ensuring our formulations have a full spectrum of cannabinoids, are consistent and triple-tested from soil to shelf, guaranteeing absolutely no mold, mildew, pesticides, or heavy metals.
