I pull out my trusted soaking bin, fill it with hot water and soak my feet for thirty minutes. Step 1: Set the Stage
This isn’t about anything other than pampering yourself. You deserve it. In fact, everyone deserves a little pampering from time to time.
Here’s what you’ll need :
- Candles or essential oils for aromatherapy. This may not seem like an important thing to have but trust me, it’s crucial. Don’t forget matches or a lighter!
- Your favorite facial mask. (I am personally not a fan of facial cleansing masks because I sport a pretty heavy beard, but don’t neglect the magic of a facial mask!)
- Bath or soaking bin.
- Champagne (to feel fabulous) or your non-alcoholic drink of choice.
- 1 bottle of Papa & Barkley’s 30:1 Tincture
- 1 Papa & Barkley’s Releaf Soak (or bath bomb if you don’t want psychoactivity)
- 1 bottle of Papa & Barkley’s Releaf Body Oil

Step 2: Take CBD, heat water, and bring on the aromatherapy
Start by taking a dose of your 30:1 tincture. The 30:1 CBD-rich tincture helps reduce stress, and promotes whole body relief from pain and inflammation. I prefer a full dropper full under the tongue. If you want faster effects, leave the tincture under your tongue for a minute or more before ingesting. Next, set your candle next to the tub and light it. I’m a big fan of scented candles with cedar, but whatever you like best will work. If you prefer essential oils over candles, collect a few drops of your oil of choice onto the palms of your hands and rub them together. Then place your hands over your nose and make a ‘scent tent’ and breathe deeply. I prefer citrus essential oils because they leave you feeling bright and refreshed after smelling them.
Fill your tub, or bin with hot water. If you don’t have access to a tub, fill your soaking bin with hot water and set up a little station.
Step 3: Facial mask, soak, and clear your mind!
Put on your facial mask and pour in the contents of one packet of Releaf Soak into either the tub or the soak bin. Soak or bathe for at least thirty minutes. The dead sea salts and essential oils that come in the Releaf Soak are very soothing. *Keep in mind when used in the bath or shower, the Releaf Soak has the potential to create some psychoactive effects.* If you do not want any psychoactive effects, I recommend switching to a bath bomb of your choice or dropping essential oils into your tub.
Pro tip: if you prefer soaking your feet and want to take a shower after, the Releaf soak doubles as a body scrub! Finally, clear your mind and let the stress and tensions of the day fall away. If you are a big fan of meditating like me, try doing an unguided meditation while you relax.
Step 4: Dry off and bust out the Releaf Body Oil
Towel off and once you are dry pull out your Releaf Body Oil and apply it liberally to your skin. The Releaf Body Oil is fast-absorbing and lightweight. It feels smooth on skin and works to reduce muscle tension—all the better when used as a massage oil. Step 5: Make a gratitude list and carry on with your day!
I am a firm believer that acknowledging what you are grateful for not only brings self-awareness but also frees the mind from negativity. Try making a list, or if you don’t feel like writing try saying 5 things you are grateful for in your life out loud. It doesn’t have to be fancy, anything big or small that you are grateful for will do. After that, you are done!
